Arthur Edward Pywell

Mr Arthur Edward Pywell, the Acting Sub-collector of Customs of two years at Port Douglas, believed that the export facilities were sufficient for the area and that farmers were satisfied with the returns they received for their produce. But if there were larger facilities farmers would be stimulated to grow more and more would be sent to Brisbane and Melbourne.
