Our first session is Kindermusik and will be held on Thursday 31 January 2008. Rebecca Roelofs is a qualified music instructor who will inform parents about the benefits of music in their child's development. During
this interactive workshop Rebecca will use a range of instruments for babies and children.
We will finish up the session with morning tea and a chance for mums to ask questions one on one with our guest speaker.
Other topics that will be held during the year are: emotional health
and wellbeing, First Aid, the benefits of playgroup, stress management for mums, family nutrition, post baby body fitness,
baby massage, reading to your child, natural therapies for your child, breastfeeding, and sleep and settling techniques.
We believe that the Parenting Program will give parents knowledge
of new and existing services in our community and a greater understanding of their families’ development, health and
wellbeing.
The Workshops will be held at the Innisfail PCYC in the OSH care room
once a month on a Thursday morning from 10am -11:30. Morning Tea will be provided and children are welcome.
