Writers In North Queensland WINQ.

Fabulous, fundamental, fascinating and funny; these four adjectives describe the gatherings of Innisfail Writers.

Paul Oliveri, the regional representative of Queensland Writers kick started the group August 2007 with sample bags and plenty of information for both beginner and experienced writers. There were nine starters initially and another six have joined in the fun.

The group now officially named Writers In North Queensland (WINQ – pronounced wink) enjoy a morning of sharing and discussing works in progress, industry information and a fun writing exercise. It is amazing how the same picture handed to everyone can invoke such a variety of themes.

All age groups are most welcome and there must be some fellas that write out there, so if you enjoy writing in any genre, why not come along to the next gathering. The gatherings are held the fourth Saturday of each month, 10am at the Cultural centre McGowan Drive (behind the Barrier Reef Motel) the next one being September the 22^nd.
