About two hundred acres of Clump Mountain is in trust to the aboriginal
people and it is run by a co-operative.
There is a wilderness camp on the mountain, and groups and school children and tourists visit
and camp there.
Work on clearing damage wrought by Cyclone Larry on Clump Mountain
is being undertaken by Indigenous jobseekers.
A $79,900 grant from Skilling Queenslanders for Work will finance the work. Trails need to
be repaired and will be reopened late October 2007.
The Girringun Aboriginal Corporation is managing the project.
