She joined a professional arts group where "I learnt
to improve my techniques" and with no formal training "found the long road of self experimentation, reading and observing
what nature supplies, the best tools to produce a satisfying work."
A move to Queensland - Brisbane, Townsville and now
north of Ingham introduced the colours of the reef, rain forest and the astounding variety of bird and wildlife. A lover of
nature and with the infinite spectra of never-ending subjects now available, it was natural for Lyn to pick up her brushes
again.
Winning several "Firsts" in Art Competitions over the
years, prompted exhibitions with fellow artists, followed by 'going solo'. Consequently her paintings are now hung from Melbourne
to Cairns and Europe.
More recent "Firsts" in 2006 & 2007 proved to be
incentive to continue painting although as a more relaxed hobby.
