October 25th 6.30pm $20 CRACA Mem $15
RSL Hall El Arish

Once again CRACA have secured this wonderful touring ensemble. For those who don't know......
Every year the Gertrude Langer Prize is awarded to the most successful ensemble from the Con in Brisbane.

The prize is: to be taken on tour through North Qld performing in regional centres. Over the past 3 years we have held this event in the Masonic Hall in Tully.  However as the performance has become so successful our audience capacity has increased dramatically and outgrown the hall. To rectify this problem the tour was then programed for Innisfail meaning once again our region missed out on quality entertainment.

CRACA has rallied hard to bring the performance back so it would be great to see everyone again at the RSL Hall In El Arish this year.

Pay by phone Mastercard/Visa or at CRACA for cash.

The Strahlend Quintet break away from intensive study at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and numerous concerts with the Australian Youth Orchestra to bring you the lively harmonies of strings and clarinet.

Their stunning repertoire includes Mozart, Brahms, Gershwin and Australian premieres of pieces by British-American composer David Bruce and Grammy Award-winning Cuban jazz composer, Paquito D'Rivera. This gifted ensemble will take you through a captivating landscape of sound.

The Strahlend Quintet is the 2009 winner of Queensland Arts Council's Gertrude Langer Ensemble Award, which each year sends one of the Conservatorium's most talented ensembles on a debut Queensland tour.
